About
  • What is a bleed?
In printing terms, the bleed is the extra margin on a print product that is meant to be trimmed off when the product is trimmed to its final size. Bleed basically means that the color and graphics on a product "bleed off the page" to ensure continuity of the color to the edge of your product. When we print products such as business cards and postcards, we do not print on paper of that size. We organize several products next to one another on a large sheet of paper, print, and then trim each individual product to size. Jobs cannot be trimmed perfectly on the trimming line each time. During the trimming process, a product may be trimmed within or beyond the trimming line. As a result, the product may have a white edge, or a portion of the artwork from the surrounding jobs. Thus, we require a bleed on each individual product so that when the product is trimmed, there is an extra margin to prevent imperfections. Please provide .125" bleed with all print ready files that have color running to the edge!
  • What size bleed is required?

  • When is my job going to be ready?

  • What if I change my mind?
If you order an incorrect template/design or you simply changed your mind, you can change the template or main direction of your design for a fee of $20.00 pending. This option is only available prior to printing on low volume orders. We do not offer refunds on graphic services.
  • How will my product look?
We offer a very high quality of printing and products; however, monitors DO NOT represent printed color well. We will get as close as possible, but cannot guarantee that printed products will be identical to a proof. Why? – Computer monitors run on an RGB color spectrum that is created by mixing light. This is completely different from printed CMYK materials that are created by mixing ink, therefore a printed product will be very close, but not exact. Monitor settings vary and are never identical. If you are concerned about the printed color of your design, legend & Ko. is happy to print a hard copy proof for a fee.
